Creating an Informative Visual Storytelling Timeline for a Seattle Music Nonprofit’s Annual Report

When Totem Star’s Communications committee sought to highlight the organization’s 10th anniversary, we added an informative timeline to the 2020 Annual Report. The original design lacked a visual connection to music and the youthful spirit of the organization, so my team and I worked with our graphic designer to incorporate a sinuous element throughout the double-page spread, creating a soundwave-inspired movement that creates cohesion and gives the eye a place to rest within the text-heavy artwork.
